UltraHealth FC

UltraHealth FC

Ultrahealth FC lenses are specifically designed for patients who have had corneal refractive surgery or trauma. They are the same size as a typical soft lens.

Flatter base curves than most other lenses, starting at 35.50D.

Variable-lift designcombined with a vaulted fitting philosophy allows for clearance of corneal irregularities in corneas with oblate surfaces.

High oxygen transmission materials along with tear exchange optimizing design provide all day comfort and excellent ocular health.

GP centre vaults over the cornea to ensure corneal surface integrity and neutralizes corneal irregularities.

Reverse geometry GP design accommodates different stages of Keratoconus and a broader range of corneal irregularities. It also results in lower lens powers and reduces aberrations.

Balance the contact lens on 3 fingers or the inserter and fill the bowl of the lens with preservative free sterile saline solution.

Lean forward, so your nose is pointing to the floor. It might be helpful to place a mirror on a flat surface to look into as you insert the lens.

Pull up on your upper eyelid with the index or middle finger of one hand.

Pull down on your lower lid with the ring finger of the hand holding the lens or the inserter. Gently place the lens directly onto the cornea.

Tripod Method: Pinch together your thumb, pointer and middle fingers to support the lens.

Using a DMV (Plunger): Place the lens on the cup of the DMV and guide it towards your eye.
To clean the DMV:

  • rinse it thoroughly with hot water and allow it to air dry.
  • Or soak it in multipurpose solution.

Pull up on your upper eyelid with the index or middle finger of one hand and pull down on your lower lid with the ring finger of the other hand.

With dry fingers, pinch the bottom of the soft skirt at the 5 & 7 o’clock position while keeping the pads of your fingers together. Like picking up lint off your clothes.

Alternative Method: With your index finger on the top lid and middle finger of your other hand on the bottom lid, gently apply lid pressure to lift up the lens, just like removing a rigid gas permeable lens.

Recommended replacement schedule for UltraHealth FC lenses is every 6-12 months.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery when ordering your replacement lenses. For this reason it is recommended to always have a backup pair of lenses on hand in case of loss or damage.
